Helen Skelton ditches her wedding ring as she steps out after splitting from husband Richie

TV presenter Helen Skelton was pictured with her four-month-old daughter Elsie wearing a top that read ‘One Love’ on Tuesday after announcing the breakdown of her marriage to husband Richie Myler.

Helen Skelton stepped out for the first time on Tuesday after announcing the end of her nine-year marriage to husband Richie Myler.

Wearing a top with the words ‘One Love’, the Countryfile star, 38, ditched her wedding ring hours after announcing on Instagram that rugby player Richie, 31, had moved out of the family home.

Helen had a lively phone call as she carried her four-month-old daughter, Elsie Kate, to Leeds in photos obtained by MailOnline.

Cutting a relaxed figure, the presenter wore the striped top with baggy blue jeans and appeared deep in conversation.

She also wore black sandals and had her blonde hair tied back in a messy ponytail.

The star put on a brave face and was pictured smiling during the lively phone call.

Helen confirmed her split from her rugby player husband in a statement on her Instagram Stories on Monday.

The couple – who married in 2013 – share three children together, including six-year-old Ernie and four-year-old Louis.

Helen and Richie welcomed baby Elsie four months ago.

The 38-year-old TV star has revealed her husband Richie has ‘left the family home’ as she opens up about her grief.

In her short statement, Helen wrote, “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has moved out of the family home.

“We will do our best to co-parent our grandchildren.”

Her social media statement came shortly after she shared a quote about the struggles of motherhood.

The Countryfile star seemed to suggest she was going through a tough time when she shared: “A mum is always full of emotions, full of love, full of anxiety and worry, full of exhaustion and lacking in energy, full of mom’s guilt and doubt, full of pride for her children, full of pure joy.

“She feels everything, it’s her beauty, she carries everything too, and yet she gets up every day and starts again.”

Richie has yet to speak about their split.

In December 2021, Helen and Richie welcomed Elsie but didn’t announce the happy news for a week.

Alongside Richie’s photo, Helen wrote: ‘Can always count on Dickie….of all the things he said (there’s been a lot) ‘don’t worry I’ll be your lido…’ on the way to the hospital might be my favorite.

“Man meant Doula. From the mouths of men. (pic from earlier this week – just didn’t post partly because my mom loves family what apps need to be ahead of insta but mainly because I still can’t find the proper words of thanks for our @nhsenglan d @nhsmillion….captions are thriving).”
