Tia Mowry stepped out without her wedding ring on the same day she filed for divorce from husband Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage on Monday.

While wearing a purple zip-up sweatshirt and matching skin-tight leggings, the 44-year-old actress looked grim while sporting minimal makeup and her hair pulled back into a low ponytail as she met a friend .

For her casual outing, the mother-of-two wore a pair of black sunglasses perched on top of her head, large hoop earrings, matching bracelets and a black Fendi handbag.

The Twitches star, who rose to fame alongside her twin sister Tamera Mowry on the sitcom Sister, Sister from 1994 to 1999, had her hands full as she held a large bottle of water, car keys and a telephone.

According to divorce papers obtained by DailyMail.com earlier this week, the former Disney Channel star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation when filing the petition to end their marriage in Los Angeles.

The artist has requested joint physical and legal custody of their two children, son Cree, 11, and daughter Cairo, four, and did not provide a separation date.

She also asked the judge to end the court’s ability to award child support to both parties and said she and Cory had entered into a prenuptial agreement.

“Pursuant to the parties’ prenuptial agreement, all assets and obligations of each party are its separate property,” the document reads.

Tia opened up about the split in a heartfelt post to her Instagram account on Tuesday, where she said she would continue to nurture a friendship with her ex “as we co-parent our beautiful children.”

“I’ve always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness.

Speaking about their 2015 wedding, Tia told HuffPost Live that she and Cory “don’t put gender roles” into their marriage.

“We don’t assign gender roles to our marriage and our relationship. If I work a lot and Cory is home he will put Cree to bed and if the dishes need to be washed he will do it,” she said. “So it’s not like, ‘Oh, I’m going to wait for my wife to come home and she’s going to do all this. “”

She also described the benefits of a partnership over her own dreams.
