Long Island couple, 37, renew wedding vows after beating coronavirus

GREEVALE, New York (WABC) – The renewal of their marriage vows was very special for a couple in Nassau County who have also fought and conquered the coronavirus.

Grace and Charles Limbach exchanged “yeses” on Friday, almost 37 years after they tied the knot.

Greenvale jeweler Evan Krypell hosted the ceremony for free.

The couple contracted the virus in December and Grace Limbach has yet to regain her sense of smell.

Along with renewing their vows, the Limbachs now have a renewed appreciation for what is most important in maintaining a romantic relationship.

“Never lose your sense of humor, don’t argue too much,” the couple said.

The ceremony was presided over by the Clerk of the Town of North Hempstead.

The couple also received new wedding rings for free.
