Rubina Dilaik reveals why she does not wear a wedding ring alone: ”Abhinav Shukla has always believed …”

TV actress Rubina Dilaik explained that she does not wear an engagement or wedding ring on her own because Abhinav Shukla believes “diamonds are blood diamonds”. She said wearing a diamond ring “is not worth bloodshed” and exploiting the environment.

Rubina and Abhinav tied the knot in 2018. They appeared together on Bigg Boss 14 as contestants. While he was rejected by contestants’ connections, she won the show.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Rubina said, “Why I don’t have a solitaire in my hand as an engagement or wedding ring is because Abhinav always believed diamonds were blood diamonds. The amount of blood that is shed to secure them, procure them, keep them safe and make them the most expensive stone of all… ”

“Women just brag and say four carats, five carats, ten carats. I do not believe it at all. Because what people go through to get it on your ring finger isn’t worth the bloodbath we’re seeing. And the coal mines we dig under, we exploit our environment. He always used to say: ‘Blood diamonds’, ”she added.

On Bigg Boss 14, Rubina revealed that her marriage to Abhinav had gone through a rough patch and that they might have gotten a divorce, if it wasn’t for the show.
