Tennessee Titans fan’s lost alliance is returned with help from new AFC South champions
NASHVILLE, Tenn. –Tennessee Titans season ticket holder Chad Davis felt the thrill of watching his team claim their second AFC South title with a 34-3 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
The euphoria came to an abrupt halt an hour into his drive back to Charleston, Tennessee, when Davis discovered he had lost his wedding ring. Davis’ ring is a navy blue tungsten band that his wife, Jess, had custom made for him due to his love for the Titans. The ring has the team logo engraved on it.
Jess normally goes to Titans games, but she didn’t attend Sunday due to bad weather. For Chad, it was stressful to come home knowing that he would have to tell her that he had lost his ring.
“I had a stomach ache,” Chad Davis told ESPN. “I came home and told my wife. She told me a lot of bullshit about it jokingly and told me to remind her in the morning to try and order another one.”
At her son’s request, Davis shared the lost ring on Twitter and asked if anyone had found it. The post blew up and the Titans caught wind of the lost ring. The team sent a team to search the ring in the area near which Davis was seated at the match.
Titans president Burke Nihill responded to Davis’ tweet saying the ring had been found. Davis woke up to several text messages from other Titans fans who also relayed the message.
It’s okay, Chad. Someone will contact you to find out how to get it to you. 👊🏼 https://t.co/2TdYr4w9MV pic.twitter.com/w49vtTrZzB

Senior Titans Stadium Events Manager Ashley Stokely emailed Davis with instructions on how to get her ring back. Davis lives more than two hours from the stadium but has friends who live in Nashville who have planned to pick up the ring and mail it back to him overnight.
This experience surely reinforced his love for the Titans. Davis has been a Titans fan since the team moved to Memphis in 1997. He became a season ticket holder two years ago after his wife gave him tickets on Valentine’s Day.
“It was instant love for me, an NFL team that I could actually go and see play,” Davis said. “The Titans fans, the organization, they’re just the best. I have nothing but love for them. I’ve got ink in my arm. I bled for those Titans!”
